A collection of automated network wide monitoring tools installed inside ADTI's network check every server every 5 minutes for various items, such as ping, http, pop3, smtp, etc. depending on that individual server's function. The tools are also capable of performing application level checks if needed (e.g. perform a URL fetch to a dynamic page, and pass or fail on the presence or absence of a specified string). The tools are capable of generating alarms which are annunciated on the NOC workstations as well as on cell phone pagers carried by every tech.
2. ADTI deploys Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and offers custom monitoring tools.
3. Automated tools that monitor critical infrastructure components such as routers, switches, etc.
4. External third party monitoring services such as Keynote Red Alert etc. to monitor key points in ADTI's infrastructure from several different geographical locations across the globe, to flag critical reach ability issues.
5. Internal security scanning and monitoring tools such as Snort and Nessus.
6. External third party security scanning services such as Scan Alert to monitor and annunciate potential security issues from an external viewpoint.
