Reception Area

First line of security.
Provides human authentication, identification verification, and badged access to the IDC facility.
Authorized personnel are permitted access as specified in their customer notebook.
Centralized distribution of access badges via a card key access system.
All badges that are not returned daily are deactivated at the end of the evening.
All other access to the IDC is strictly controlled with rules and regulations specified by the IDC facility.

American Data Technology Internet Data Center (IDC) facilities are designed to be comfortable for our prospects and customers.

We welcome our guests with interior designs that are architecturally innovative with and use an inspiring color palette that is pleasing to the eye and denotes an element of calmness.

Security

Every square foot of an ADTI IDC equipment floor is monitored 24/7 to protect our customers' applications and hardware investment against breaks in security.
Cameras are also placed in various locations throughout the IDC facility for round-the-clock monitoring.
Cameras are strategically placed for precise monitoring of customers' equipment. Monitored by trained American Data Technology Inc.staff in the network operations center (NOC).
All surveillance is archived offsite for 30 days and is provided to customers upon request.

Continuous observation through a closed-circuit TV system protects against unauthorized entry in to the IDC. All closed-circuit cameras are monitored in our network operations center (NOC) by trained personnel to protect customer equipment from breaks in security.

Network Operations Center (NOC)

24/7 monitoring of customer applications and equipment.
Monitoring of all infrastructure components and equipment.
Trained for emergency handling and disaster recovery.
Operations staff which staff the NOC maintain distinguished industry certifications.
All NOC personnel complete an extensive American Data Technology Inc. training program to ensure that our support staff can be effective and assist the customer in all areas that surround our IDC facilities.
Customers receive dedicated support with our operations staff.
American Data Technology, Inc. maintains a 5:1 customer to operations staff ratio.

The American Data Technology Inc. Network Operations Center is the central nervous system for the IDC. The NOC is locally staffed 24/7 by trained operation technicians to monitor and support customer applications and equipment.

We monitor all power, HVAC and fire-detection / suppresion systems 24/7 using an automated application under the supervision of our local operations staff.

Component level failures are detected and trigger alarms in the local NOC, allowing our trained personnel to quickly respond and ensure systems are operational.

Customer Cabnets

Available in two standard dimensions -- 19" and 23"
Screened front and back allow for increased air circulation.
Side panel can be removed to allow for expansion.
Locks on both front and back.
Only two keys operate the cabinet locks. One, you keep. The spare is kept in a secure location.
Includes four shelves -- three fixed and one sliding so that we can configure to your specifications.

When you colocate with ADTI, you can rest assured your application is housed not only in a secured IDC, but in a high-tech, locked cabinet, based exclusively with your requirements in mind. In addition, the cabinets are only accessible by your authorized team members and American Data Technology Inc. staff.

IDC Floor

Raised floors provide easy, controlled access to power and network connections.
Cold air from our HVAC units flows through our sub-floor up through vents in the raised floor to maintain an internal temperature.
Fiber enters the facility in multiple locations. Redundant entry points for network connectivity and power.
Power and network cabling is installed to eliminate interference and other related problems.
Pre-laid CAT 5 cabling in the floor facilitates faster installs and easy accessibility by operations staff.

The American Data Technology Inc. IDC floor contains many features that make services within the IDC facility easily accessible. Our raised floors provide quick and easy access to the power and network cabling that lies below the raised floor. All cabling is organized and labeled for easy identification and use. This results in faster installations and increased service.

High Capacity HVOC System

Maintains average temperature between 65 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit.
Keeps average relative humidity between 30 and 50 percent.
Uniformly cools the IDC.
Works independenly from the IDC air conditioning unit.
Controlled by five Data Aire units.
Performance is constantly monitored by the NOC.
Delivers air conditioning through the floor, forcing it up through perforated tiles located in every other row.
In case of malfunction, one additional HVAC unit is readily available.

Ideal operating and environmental conditions make our IDC facilities the place to colocate. Our high-capacity heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system maintains temperature and relative humidity levels to ensure your equipment stays up and running.

Generators

Ready to supply power within seven seconds of Public Service outage.
Generates power to both AC and DC systems, powering your network without interrupting service.
1500 KVA Cummins Synergy Diesel generators.
Operates for 24 hours on a single tank of diesel fuel.
Contract with local fuel company to refill tanks within two hours of request.
Power checked daily.

Our onsite diesel-powered generators are ready and waiting to protect your applications at the first sign of a power interruption. Our 750 kW-2000 kW diesel generators can run for 24 hours on a single tank of fuel. In the event of power disruption, the ATS immediately powers the generator and within seven seconds transfers power to the UPS for continuous charging.

Uninteruptable Power Supplies

Feeds two 600 amp panels that in turn feed 100 amp panels located at the head of every row of cabinets.
Twin 500 KVA Powerware UPS systems (both of which are hot-synced).
Filters the power feed, compensating for surges, high-voltage spikes, switching transients, sags, electrical line noise, frequency variations and other conditions that prevents the proper operation of your equipment.

Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), the first line of defense during a power interruption, help protect all your mission-critical applications. The UPS provides 110V/208V AC power to every customer cabinet. The UPSs receive power from multiple power grids to ensure fail-over. The UPS powers the IDC facility in the transition to generated power.

Automatic Transfer Switch

After prolonged power outage, the ATS automatically switches the Data Network Facility back to city power.
120V AC or 48V DC.
When a power interruption occurs, and chances are it will, the Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) automatically switches the power from the primary source to an alternate supply. In the event of an emergency, the ATS immediately powers the generator and within seven seconds transfers power to the UPS for continuous charging.

Power

DC Power:
Two rectifiers convert ACpower to DC power, offering you the most usable power possible based on your requirements.

600 amp Panel:
Receives power directly from the UPS.
Feeds 100 amp panels.
Offers the ultimate in effective power management.

100 amp Panel:
One panel located at the head of each cabinet row.
Receives power from the 600 amp panel.

By offering multiple power grid connections, American Data Technology Inc. ensures a state-of-the-art system is in place to offer you the greatest power.

Currently, ADTI provides uninterrupted AC and DC circuits to your equipment cabinets. Future IDC facilities will offer A/B circuits in both AC and DC power.

Fire Dectection/Prevention System

Two rectifiers convert ACpower to DC power, offering you the most usable power possible based on your requirements.
Utilizes a pre-action fire suppression system that holds water outside of the equipment area until actual fire is verified.
"Dry-pipe" systems ensure that if a sprinkler head is accidentally damaged, water will not drain into the equipment area, thus damaging equipment.
Heat and smoke sensors (controlled by the NOC) are located in the floor and ceiling.
Fire conditions are detected in all equipment room spaces.
Fire suppression system can be activated only when multiple inputs confirm the existence of a fire on the premises.

ADTI's redundant, state-of-the-art fire detection and suppression systems help recognize and minimize the ever-present threat of fire, guaranteeing the protection of your equipment.

VESDA (very early smoke detection apparatus) detects abnormal air particulates potentially caused by equipment overheating, giving our staff time to investigate the situation before it becomes a potential problem.
